1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using LDS Sync ("the app", "the service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms apply to all users, including ward administrators and ward members granted access by an administrator.
2. Description of Service
LDS Sync is a free Kanban workspace application designed for LDS (Latter-day Saint) Bishoprics, Stake Presidencies, and Ward Councils to organize agenda items, callings, tasks, and meeting preparation. The app is provided free of charge and is not affiliated with or endorsed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use this service. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement. The app is intended for use by LDS ward and stake leadership.
4. User Accounts and Access
Access to LDS Sync is granted through Google sign-in. Ward administrators control which email addresses are permitted to access their ward's workspace. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.
Ward administrators are responsible for managing user access within their workspace, including adding and removing users and assigning appropriate roles and permissions.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use LDS Sync only for its intended purpose of LDS ward and stake leadership organization. You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any other ward's workspace
- Interfere with or disrupt the app's infrastructure or underlying services
- Store or transmit sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary for ward coordination
- Use the app to harass, threaten, or harm any individual
6. Data Ownership
All data entered into LDS Sync belongs to the ward whose administrator provisioned the workspace. Data is stored in a Firebase project under the control of the ward administrator. We do not claim ownership of your content.
Ward administrators are responsible for managing and backing up their ward's data. The app provides a JSON export feature for this purpose.
7. Third-Party Services
LDS Sync integrates with Google services including Firebase, Google Drive, Google Gemini AI, and Google Chat. Your use of these integrations is subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of these third-party services.
8. Service Availability
LDS Sync is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LDS Sync is provided without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will meet your requirements or that any errors will be corrected.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app, including any loss of data. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed $0, reflecting that the service is provided free of charge.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
